Rodney Adepticon 2007 IG
For Adepticon 2007, helped 3 high school kids with their first tournament by being team captain in the team tournament. Since They had decided on bring orks, space marines and IG, I decided on working on a fun little army. My take on Kroot Mercenaries.
This imposing Librarian was painted as a commission piece. This is the first model that I have used metallic paints on in a long time. Overall, I'm happy with how the conversion and paint job turned out.
Ever reliable storm troopers.
Since the bulk of the Witch Hunters force was just troops and zealots, the partial center piece was the penitent engine. What was amazing is that this piece was entirely painted in about 10 hours, and started just 11 hours before game time.
The inquisitor lord needed a retinue. Here it is.
The shock troopers of the Witch Hunters force.
Thistle & Shrub Studios received a commission for a highly converted D&D character. After a lot of debating, we finally decided to use GW’s Lord of the Rings Aragorn as the base of the conversion.
Unfortunately as the conversion was nearing completion the customer lost his job and had to rescind his commission. With the model almost being done, the decision was made to do something with the upraised arm and make the model a cleric.
The conversion was done by Freakshow and painting by Shrub. Pictures of the green are included.
Well, just a mere 2 months after Adepticon ‘06 and pictures of the third of the four armies from Team Checkmate Hobbies is going up. The majority of the outward sculpt of the model was actually resculpted over the Brother Captain Stern model.
