Ultramarine Chaplain - Posted:07/01/2007 Ultramarine Chaplain

Done as a commission piece. This piece goes along with the Ultramarine Commander. Overall how the recipient expected but there were a couple of issues upon receival. Read on for more information.

Overall the chaplain was to be like the studio model, with a couple of minor tweaks, most notably the blue on the right shoulder pad. The problem occurred after shipping the model to the recipient. Unfortunately the chaplain's iron halo fell off during shipping. Due to it's size pinning is quite difficult without damaging the halo. The other issue, which I even didn't notice till it was pointed out, was that I failed to correctly highlight the right shoulder pad. The highlight looked like I just placed a bight blue dot with no blending. I did correct the shoulder pad highlight and provided instructions on how to reattach the halo. Normally I would have repaired it, but I feared that it would break again in transit. You will see below multiple views of a couple of sides. The differences are ones with a iron halo are pre-initial shipping, while ones without are after the shoulder pad fix.
