Sorry about the extended downtime. There were some issues when the site was migrated.
I’m working on getting the order of the migrated site corrected still, but all of our content is up and working.
Update: Post order is now working correctly. Thistle & Shrub Studios apologizes for the down time.

Update (April 15, 2007 11:48): All site maintenance is done. If you find a broken link or missing image, please let me know admin@thistleshrub.net
Update (April 15, 2007 10:35): All pictures should be restored at this point. I’m doing some tweaks to templates which may break parts of the site, but should be short lived problems. Sorry again about the site issues, The Admin.
The administration of the pictures has gone pair shaped and needs to be repaired.
The site will be up, but pictures may or may not be available during this time.
Sorry about the problem, hopefully this will be resolved by Sunday the 15.

Just a quick status of whats happening at the studios.
- Rodney and Thistle are working on Team Checkmate Hobbies armies. Both are top secret unit Adepticon ‘07
- I, shrub, am working on my Kroot Merc army for Adepticon ‘07 which may have pictures up before the big event. I’m also working on a commission center piece to go with an army that Navin at paintedfigs.com is working on.
- Our very own Freakshow sold off his Witch Hunter force and gained a commission to add to that force.
- We plan to add a wannabie Central Illinoisan from the Chicago burbs to our fun loving painting bunch soon. He’ll be starting on the reclaim an army project between his work on Team Checkmate Hobbies army work.
In other news Privateer Press has added the ability to order bits from their store. So if your looking for that perfect bit, you now have somewhere else to look other than Battlewagon Bits.

Thistle & Shrub Studios is glad to welcome Freakshow to our little band of painters.
Freakshow is our local Green Stuff and awesome conversion expert. From doing most of the custom sculpting on the Salamander Dreadnought and redesigning his own Inquistor Lord from a Brother-Captain Stern model for Team Checkmate Hobbies best appearance winning army at Adepticon 2006 Team Tournament. In addition to conversions and sculpting he paints just as well as he converts.
We hope to get pictures of his models up as soon as possible.

What is Thistle & Shrub Studios?
We are three guys who paint miniatures for fun, located in Central Illinois (not close to Chicago). We normally work on Games Workshop models, but we do venture out into other miniatures at times.
We have more information about us available. If you just want to see the minis head to our gallery. We also do take commissions for one off pieces.

Blood Bowl
Central Illinois Blood Bowl, aka CIBBL, has been a nice distraction from painting for the painters of Thistle & Shrub Studios. Why don't you have a look at the chaos of our Wizards College® at work.
