Muddy Bases
Since I was recently asked how I did my muddy bases for Storm Troop Squad 034, I figured I should put up the instructions as best as I can describe it.
The bases were done by pushing green stuff around to both fill the slotta base and make impressions of where the feet would be lifted up.
The next set is obviously painting up the base itself. The colors I used were all Vallejo Game Color. I started with Charred Brown, I then did a 1:1 mix of CharredBrown:Sombre Grey as the first highlight. To that mix I added in Parasite Brown after applying that highlight, I added in Earth. The final step was a wet dry brushing of just Earth.
If your looking for a more “wet” look after sealing your model with Dullcoat, apply some thinned Future Floor Wax with your brush to get that glossy “wet” look. Another important part of the appearance is the legs of the model need to have the feeling of being dirty to really have the effect portrayed.<—f564178643a6556892e95b83113c0309—><
