Boo Booty

I like Boo Booty and I can not lie......

Next up in the Super Dungeon Explore painted miniatures are the chests and the occasional surprise Boo Booty.  For the Disc World fans, I still have a metal one that I will sculpt lots of little legs and paint up.

 

Kobold Dragon Priests

So for the kobolds, I decided to take a page on coloring from the 4th edition Monster Manual.  Since these are the heralds of the dragon, Starfire, I figured they should wear a purple cloak to match the dragons.

 

So I have finished all of the little dragons from the base Super Dungeon Explore.  The artwork on the cards has red dragons, but I decided on purple dragons instead.  The reason for purple dragons, well it is a color I joking default to when someone asks what color I should make something.  Also it is a great episode from the second season of Babylon 5 in which a argument is over colors.

Since I have currently given up on Warhammer 40,000, I needed a project to keep me from just watching reruns on television.  As such I decided to pick up Super Dungeon Explore by Soda Pop Miniatures and published by Cool Mini or Not.  Biggest benefit for me a was large number of models that look great with exaggerated colors.  Thistle doesn't like the chibi look, but my boys don't mind it and like the game play.

I hope to get the entire starting box painted by Adepticon, just because it will provide a good goal for me.  As I finish items, I'll get them posted up.  This is post is more just some tip and tricks.

 

So we haven't had any posts in 6 months.  I hope to do better this year in getting something up besides robots or Adepticon, though the robots section needs a update as well.

I've been working on painting up Super Dungeon Explore. Thistle doesn't like the chibi look of the models, but my boys enjoyed the game and don't mind the aesthetic. I'll get pictures of the completed dragons up soon.

The skateboard of Tony Ork

On the way back from Adepticon 2010, Thistle challenged me with entering my ork warboss into the Rogue Daemon 2011 contest at Adepticon 2011.  The challenge was to get me to work on my extreme ork army which had completely stopped due to boredom.  The intended goal failed but I did finish the model in time to enter it.

This is a commission piece done for my good friend's son.  It is Fulumbar Ironhammer the Dwarf from Reaper's Warlord series.

Long time no post, I know, I know. Studio is still closed for commissions but I have new model done. The first of a about 6 Ork Trukks for my Extreme Ork army that I started this year, hope to finish in 2010 sometime.

Done as a commission piece. This piece goes along with the Ultramarine Commander. Overall how the recipient expected but there were a couple of issues upon receival. Read on for more information.
